[Conference] VAMOR Research and Activities at Forum Acusticum / Euronoise 2025 in Málaga

The VAMOR Doctoral Network was actively represented at the Forum Acusticum / Euronoise 2025, held in Málaga at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga in June 2025.

Two VAMOR researchers presented their latest work at this major international acoustics conference. Pierre Mariotti (DC8) presented “An absorbing boundary condition formulation for fast frequency sweep of unbounded acoustic finite element problems”, focusing on efficient numerical strategies for acoustic simulations. Vicente Cutanda Henríquez (SiC/DTU) presented “Boundary Element Method with visco-thermal losses: development, improvements and applications”, addressing advanced modeling techniques for acoustic wave propagation with dissipative effects.

In addition, Dionysios Panagiotopoulos (KU Leuven) was one of the main organizers of a minisymposium on numerical methods for vibroacoustics. The session gathered approximately 150 researchers from academia and industry, highlighting current developments and fostering exchange within the community.

The Forum Acusticum / Euronoise conference is supported by the European Acoustics Association and local acoustic societies, and gathers more than one thousand participants along with numerous industrial contributors. It provides a key platform for exchanging recent advances in acoustics across academia and industry.

These contributions highlight VAMOR’s active role in advancing computational methods for vibro-acoustic problems and disseminating research results within the international scientific community.
